CLUB MEMBERSHIP  - New/Renewal/Update

Whether you have a BIG one...

As you may know, Palomar RC Flyers is trying to secure a contract on a new flying site pending the proposed closure of our current site, Johnson Field, located at the I-15 and Highway 76. Current status on this transition is available in the club newsletter (the Transmitter) and in bulletins issued to the current members.
For more information please contact the Membership Director, Jim Christy at
951-232-7997, or one of our Board members.
TO START FLYING AT PRCF YOU WILL NEED TO:
  1. Join AMA with a Full Membership and abide by all rules. (AMA Park Flyer membership will not be accepted.)

  2. Register with FAA under the Exception for Limited Recreational Operations and abide by all rules. (“Home built” aircraft satisfies for aircraft type on registration application)

  3. Take The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST) (Easy test, Answers are provided. Allow 20 minutes)

  4. Pay Dues  & Fill out New Member application or if Renewing, PRCF Renewal or for Visitors, a Visitor Pass Application.

  5. New PRCF Members will receive a Welcome Letter and Membership Card + Aircraft Labels to attach to the outside of your airplanes.  Post the Aircraft ID Labels on the outside of all your RC Aircraft.

  6. All Pilots must Read/abide by the PRCF bylaws and Flying Site rules.

  7. New members must meet with a Club Instructor at the field to receive a Gate Key Card and review the Field and Flight procedures.

If you are a beginner and need flight instruction, or you have been out of the hobby for a while and want some time on a buddy box, we have qualified instructors to help. The best way to learn, is using club provided Trainer Planes.
